car burns lots of oil? what oil to add
hi guys,
got 8000 miles and was suprised when the "low oil warning" came up. is my car burning too much oil? i don't see any leaks. what kind of oil should i add (brand name). Thanks

I had to add a half a quart at 2500 miles, than another half at 5k miles......
I check it again at 8500 miles, the oil level was right in the middle of the range on dipstick. So I left alone till my 10K service.
I added Mobil One 0W-30.

One quick point... the High/Low range on the 1.8 dipstick is only a half-quart. Only add...
a small amount (.25 of a quart) and re-check before adding additional oil.
