Default car at dealer for oil sludge issue...got a corolla S as loaner...wtf?

luckily I took it in before any real damage so they are replacing the oiling system and whatever else need replacing and they won't have to replace the engine.

Put a VW badge on it and everyone will think it's a new Jetta

Default How did you determine you had a sludge issue?

Loaner vehicles are very random from dealer to dealer, sometimes you get an Audi, sometimes you get a random rental, sometimes you get nothing.

Default oil pressure light kept coming on, level was fine..took it directly to dealership and they said...

chances are that what it is...I had a feeling since I knew the 1.8T's are prone to that. At the moment, they haven't called back with the exact diagnosis, but the service guy and myself are coming to the same conclusion on sludge issue.
