Default Your point makes a lot of sense...

Testing an A4Q vs the 330i sort of tips the results in the BMW's favor.
Also C&D needs to post their data so readers can compare and make conclusions of their own...these subjective, anecdotal comparisons are rather worthless.

Default Re: not sure if that is apples to apple

Have you ever driven the 3.0 CVT. If not do so and then talk about performance. The CVT has performance numbers (0-60) equal to the 6spd Quattro. You might be suprised by how neutral the new suspension is, even without the Quattro. Anyway the CVT is anything but a slushbox. I have driven both (and the Tip) and it is truly a tossup as to how much I need the AWD in Tulsa, OK. That and the fact I could actually GET a 3.0CVT configured the way I want it where the 6spd I might be lucky to get it by June... (and I am not saying what year)

Default re-read my post bimmer is slushbox, CVT is not

that is why the audi would beat it. The CVT is impressive technolgy. I have a A4 FWD and quattro is better when it comes to out and out performance.

Default My car won!

I love Audis. I used to own a 98 1.8t. Why is it impossible for some people to like cars other than the brand that they own? I love Audis and BMWs. Quattro is great, but RWD is so much more fun. I got a good set of snows (Winter Sport SPs). My car handled the little snow that we had in North Jersey nicely. I'm a hard-core Quattro lover, but my 330i's traction is much better than I thought it would be, in rain and in snow. I considered the S4, but that body style is starting to get a little long in the tooth. And besides, coming from a 1.8t I needed a change.

Oh yeah, what's up with Audi's Navigation system? Europe gets the big screen but Americans don't. I guess Audi thinks that they are saving lives. Audi needs to get with the program.

My 330I

Default I forgot. I had the steering rack changed.

The steering was way too light. After the change the car was transformed. I don't know what bmw was thinking.
