Default Car just stalled today. No warning. No CEL. Nothing. Just died on the road.

It's freaking dangerous! I was cruising on a protected right turn then engine dies. Electrically inside the cabin, all normal. Radio on, lights on. Only warning icon on dash is battery. But I can start the car, it just dies immediately.

Like there is no fuel going to the engine. So could fuel pump.

But before it died, no sound. No rough idling. No buzzing sound from the rear.

I've been on the road doing errands for nearly 2 hours already. And then while still on the road this happens. A car could have hit me from behind. Good thing it was a student driver who was going so slow behind.

I'm now 400 miles past warranty. Of course. I have extended warranty and I'm praying whatever it is thats wrong is covered.

But damn what an odd experience.

Default Yes, they were on the whole time. People are stupid they don't know how to react to them.

They still honk at you from behind then look bad at you as they pass you by. Weirdos.

Default Oh, update on it:

So I went to the other dealer which was 20 miles away.

1. Squeaking noise - I pointed out the tensioner and serpentine belt.

Advisor said they replaced the belt when I got it back. However, the very next day it started squeaking again. So I scheduled an appointment with them this coming Monday.

2. Headlight symbol on the display. I forgot what Audi calls it, but it's on the manual and was discussed here for later B6 models due to the "Auto" mode switch. I believe he located the TSB. Advise here on the forum was to just not leave it in "Auto". Whether or not I do, it's not acceptable and has to be fixed properly.

Advisor said they re-programmed the software. Next day, same symbol on display appears. Will point it out to them again on Monday.

3. Rear brakes were replaced once again. Woohoo!

The thing is it was late night when I grabbed the car from the dealership so he said he'll mail the Invoice/Work Order to my home instead. I still haven't received it so I don't know at this point what they really replaced versus what he told me. The only confirmation I have is the rear brakes which upon visual inspection is thick again.

Tnx for info. What was wrong with the module on the air box? No CEL, too?
