Car Ordered! 01 2.8Qtip going back on lease for 04 3.0Q Manual Ultra Sport!
Should be getting the car in a month. Here is what I got.

My car has been sitting in the order bank since 8/2. I checked about two weeks ago and there still wasn't a build date assigned. I didn't think it was that big of a deal because the factory is in limited production during August because the entire country shuts down for the month so everyone can go on vacation. Who knows what they are doing?? My dealer says they aren't building my car yet because of NAV.
So, I'll just keep waiting. hmmm.....

It's the old version with a color screen in the dash. It's not NAV+
I've have the same system in my TT Roadster and love it. It does a great job and gets me where I want to go with ease. Everyone knocks it because it doesn't have the map screen to keep your eyes off the road. Pretty much everyone who knocks doesn't have the option in their car, so their opinion really doesn't carry much weight since they don't use the current system on a regular basis.
Do I think the current system could use improvement? Hell yeah, but the first thing I would add before a color map screen would be a switch from DVD to CD. I personally think the map is all show, and not really required. It would be nice to have, but I still think the current system is a good value.

Werd! I have the Nav in my car w/color screen
and I love it. Map is overrated. It's a nice to have, not a must. I also agree with you in that it should be DVD based rathter than CD based. FYI, if you want to see pictures, go rape my picture poster, I have tons of pictures of my NAV and some of the options.
