Default Car pulls to the right while braking at high speed in rain...

For some reason my A4 1.8TQMS feels like it pulls to the right when I brake at high speeds. It seems to only happen while the brakes are wet.

Could this be the ESP or ABS kicking in?

Anyone else ever notice this?

I've noticed the same thing. It's a little startling the first time it happens. Not sure what causes it.

Default Do you think it's a function of Quattro/ESP?

Joking aside, I imagine it could be caused by varying road conditions, crown in the road, or suspension settings. Could it also happen if Quattro transfers more torque to one wheel, or ESP induces braking in that wheel?

I don't think it's road conditions because it has happened on many different roads. It's almost as if one of the rotors is not catching.

It does seem similar to the 1st gen wet braking problem. I am able to stop ok but it definitly feels a little unstable.

Default because the road is always slight incline to the right...

to make the water goes away faster in rain
and I think you have the sport suspension which many people complains the steering is too light
so I think that's why it happens

Default Generally, the road ...

... will most always crown to your right. I would do a test in an effort to @ least rule out this factor. Try braking in the rain on a section of road that unquestionably crowns to the left.

Good luck!

Default don't underestimate road crown

as a motorcyclist, road crown is a BIG deal to me...some bikers often wonder why the left hlaf of their tires wears more than the right....answer:road crown.

just a little perspective on how much of an effect it might have.
