I will use the auto windows feature way more often than any pinch protection anyways. Plus the loss of the pinch protection according to several other posters is just a myth.

Agreed. The A6 seemed very serene...
But that might just have been the classical music station i was listening too 
Actually the car seems very well suited to nice long trips. Though for some reason, it seems like the driver's leg space is less in the A6 than my A4.

I worked at a dealership. All the world was my
car fleet;-) Actually, new slippery tires and some cobblestones in the round-a-bouts at the auto mall, meant you could have great sideways fun without going fast.
I can sometimes find an A6 to rent locally. For long trips, it is the bomb. Set temp to 67 and seat heater to 3, and you'll be able to drive for hours without fatigue. Cruises nicely at 100 to 110.
