Car in shop: rough idle, check engine light came on
My '02 A4 1.8T had been sitting for 3 days (not unusual for me) and when I started it up, the engine idled rough and eventually smoothed out. I started to drive it and the engine light came on after 1 minute. Decided to drop it off at the dealer, just to be safe.
We'll see what happens. I hope to have my baby back today.

Misfire on cyl 1, inspected ignition coils.
According to the VAG (code 5051) cyl one had misfired, though everything looked fine upon inspection.
I somehow suspect that I'll be replacing a coil pack in the next 6 months, since this is a known problem.
Build date 10/01
