Failing coilpack. Expect a total failure in about 1-3 days.

Each one is about $30. Takes about 2 minutes to replace. No tools required.

Default Thanks for your help

Yeah I was accelerating out of a 4-way stop today and my car started stuttering bad and my CEL was blinking so I changed all coilpacks and now it's all good.

Default The reason I asked is because...

CVT's are notorious for having a little jerking, bucking, and hesitation during rolling stops at stop signs and intersections. It's more noticeable with the 1.8T engines than the V6's but both have it. It has something to do with the drive-by-wire program talking to the CVT program. There's a slight delay in communication of the two systems. That's how my technician explained it to me.

But if you say this problem is something new, then it's not that.
