Default Re: My thoughts exactly

40 PSI sounds really high tire pressue, sure it should not be around 32? Thats what it says on the lable on the door frame on my a4 avant. Perhaps the tires are so pumped up they have no "give" in them and are causing the issue, but I suspect its a wheel balance issue.

Default I'll try the 32, I know 40 is high but the tire company won't give me a straight answer

on what the PSI should be. Another thing I was wondering is could this problem be attributed to the fact that these are high performance all seasons and not a tire that has tread going in the right direction?

Default The guy I bought them from said they were balanced 3k ago when he put the new tires

on the car. Whats concerning me is its only doing this once I get to 80. Its really fine up until then but once I hit 80 it really starts to move around

Audi suggested tire pressure is 35psi for 18".

Default I'm pretty sure the wheels didn't come with hub-rings which lead me to believe that they weren't..

needed. What to they do differently and where can I get them locally?

Default Try contacting the previous owner and asking him for the hub rings.

Or you can try an Oettinger dealer.
