Default Car's in for service, update (scratched windshield replaced!!!)

HA! I have renewed faith in the service dept... Just got off the phone with the service rep, he's going to change my oil at 7500K but i'll have to pay for it, but it seems worthwhile from what I've heard.

Most importantly, he just got off the phone with AoA and they're replacing my windshield free!!! I had scratches on it from the windshield wiper that were unexplained, on both sides in the track of the tips of both wipers... new windshield! Rock on!

Default my scratches weren't too bad either but they were noticeable (more)

did something you did cause them? I think the only reason audi's hooking me up here is because the car is so new and the scratches are very obviously caused by the windshield wipers being improperly installed or something.

Default I am awaiting the zone rep to be able to look at my car....

I have a scratch from the driver's side wiper arm in my windshield. The dealership service department agrees that it is a scratch and that it should be replaced, but the zone rep in this area requires that he/she look at it first before the replacement can be made. It has been at least a month that I have been waiting for them to look at it. Maybe I should call AoA myself.

Default I have a fat scratch on my windshield that was on there before I bought the car.

They offered to replace the windshield but I didnt want to deal with sealing problems and leaks.

Default nah i've had several windshields replaced on cars, never had a sealing/leak problem and

the guy usually comes to my house to do it. It's not that complicated to do

For me, some risks just aren't worth taking.

Default Mine was delivered with one as well. I said to replace it while it was still new and under warranty

I'm a little worried about leaks and such but if it comes down to the line. I'll just sell it and buy a new one when the warranty ends.
