Is the CC mod difficult at all?
I've been looking at the threads about the guys from CA doing the CC mod. I also checked out the tech article, which seems kind of confusing. To those who did do it, did you run into any problems? I don't have Xenon's so I think it wouldn't be as difficult but just wanted some advice/tips. I can't decide if I should do it soon or wait until spring when the weather's nice. I think a friend of mine might let me use his heated garage, so I might do it soon. Anyways, any info or whatever would be appreciated. Thanks

I printed out 3 tech articles I found on AW and went for it...
Did it by myself and it took about 4 hours. The hardest part for me was unplugging the power cable from the unit. For some reason the passenger one couldn't come out and I ended up chewing big holes in it with a screwdriver. The Driver one came out fine. The drilling was not bad, I made the holes bigger than they had to be but still it is not that noticeable. Breaking up the insert was easy and then I used a can of compressed air (like from CompUSA) to blow out some dust. Check out my picture folder for the after shots.

Not Really. My tips to pass on...
1. Take your time.
2. Order your Stealth (best ones, IMO) turn bulbs and have them on hand before starting. Unless, you want to pull out the lighting assembly again.
3. Don't worry about heated garage too much. You can always bring in lighting assembly into your house. This is actually better, in that you'll have better light.
4. Don't force lighting wire harness off. Slide small screw driver into the side of the tab w/rectangular notch/detent to lift harness lock.
5. USE SMALL PASSES w/TINY DRILL BIT to minimize hole. This is important, in that it will look better in the end.
6. When extracting/sliding out the lighting assembly, do it slowly, and locate/remember the bolt imprints on assembly bolt tabs. You'll want to reinstall it in the EXACT same spot. This will make re-aiming your lights easier. I did this and actually never had to re-aim.
Took me about 1.5 hours and pretty happy w/ results. Check poster for pics. Hope my tips help and good luck.
