Im practicing doing the CC mod on an extra xenon headlight I managed to borrow from a friend. He had already drilled out the tabs but the insert was wedged in tightly. I had to insert a small curved screwdriver and apply quite a bit of force to pry it loose .Is this common for those that have done the CC mod ? Additionally I noticed that it's a tight squeeze to get the insert by the edge of the plasting turn signal housing that extends out into the light.Is it possible that there are differences between the xenon housing for diff years ? Or are these common challenges.

yo use something that wont scratch the lense. I use a wire hanger with a thin piece of electrical tape over the tip. After u have the insert loose in the housing maneuver it into the slot under the high beam. With a pair of needle nose pliers you can pull it out thru the high beam opening. What are you doing with the headlight when it is done?

Hell, I just poked my finger inside the housing to "pick" the orange lense loose.
