Sooo...
I just changed the Camshaft Chain Tensioner on a 1.8t.
Retightened everything back up and started the car. It ran well. Then I saw the oil underneath starting to accumulate. Then I shut off the car.
I poked my finger around the back of the head and noticed that it was fresh oil.
Is it possible to lose that much oil through the valve cover gasket in such a short time?

it has dowels for alignment. It is also possible that the VC gasket is out of place. Dig back in and find the problem. It will be a good learning experience for you and others.

did the head... so put two dowels together and you have space where the oil can flow out... it was fun taking out the cam and tensioner like 5 times in one day... recheck timing... take out.. check for extra dowels... recheck timing... etc etc
