Default Cheap, but nice little mod idea if anyone's interested...

I realized the other night that I really should have a powerful flashlight in my car at all times. Considering the nature of my job, and the rural area I live in, it makes more than just a little sense. So, I went out to the hardware store and picked up a 3 D-cell maglite for $13 on sale, and mounting brackets supplied with screws for $5. In my avant, I screwed one of the brackets into the removable compartment cover in the very back left of the cargo compartment, such that the flashlight rests in it vertically and is very accessible from the trunk. Looks slick, easy and quick to install, and will be very useful I'm sure. I don't have any pictures right now, but I'd be happy to supply upon request.

I'm also toying with the idea of hardwiring a powerful handheld spotlight in the glovebox for fun, but I'm not planning on doing that any time soon.

my brother picked up a xenon flashlight from Costco the other day. $30 for two IIRC. VERY bright.
