Default could be one of a thousand things.. litterally..
if the car is running just the same as it always has.. my bet is its just a bad sensor. For me though, when i heard my engine falling apart and just die, i knew what that blinking engine light ment

stuck out here in germany and we get the mags really late. also kinda hard to find parts for us spec autos. *sigh* oh well!
