Default Check engine light suggestions......

Started up the monster this morning. It was cool but not cold 45-55F. After starting the engine ran rough for about 15 seconds and then went back to its normal high RPM warm up period. check engine light came on.

First time the light has ever been on for any reason and I did get my CP replaced this spring. Just had a 20K about 1.5 months ago.

Any suggestions? I let the car sit for a few hours and started it up again. Still have the check engine light.

Default Safe to assume you checked your gas cap?

Did you fill up recently? A loose gas cap trips the CEL. If its not that, get you hands on a VAG-com or visit your dealer.

Default No kidding? Alright. I'll try almost anything.

Drove it for about 2 miles in the neighborhood and the car sounded fine.

Default did you recently fill up gas at a DIFFERENT gas station than normal?

the sensors are even SO sensitive, the slightest off-beat of gas will turn it on.

From the no-name gas to even some Exxons, etc.

Not to worry...if you aren't felling any performance difference at all, just drive to the end of this tank (about 3/4 DONE) then fill up again at a good station you have been going to in the past. Once you fill it up again, it should go out within 2 start-ups, if not right when you start it when you leave the gas station.
