Thanks for the responses yesterday, though the thread got hijacked just a bit. I guess I should conclude that chips are very reliable. 192 views and only 3 people reporting issues. Either that or people are reluctant to discuss the subject. Either way, I appreciate the time and effort. [2003 A4 1.8TQ, 5-spd, ming, beige, sport, premium]

As you can imagine, this topic is quite beaten here, however regardless, this is a place to address your concerns and questions.
The below link was mainly geared towards the CVT. However, it does share some general insights about the process and manufacturers. Other manufacturers have come out with their solution since this original post.
Do a search. I'm sure you already have, but now that you have some background, search again with specifics or feel free to ask/post.
I got chipped at Greedspeed in Camarrillo, CA. They are very close to Neuspeed, so they remove your ecu and take it there. Greedspeed is an amazing resource.
