Chip Question. Factory 170hp = 0-60 7.9 sec. Aftermarket 216hp = 0-60 ?.? sec. (ideas?)

The curb weight for the 3.0 QM is 3583 lbs. and 1.8 TQM is 3406 lbs. So, at 270 lb-ft (when chipped), the 1.8T would have 49 lb-ft more torque and according to the brochure, it's 177 lb lighter. Just by the numbers, it should be a tad quicker than the 3.0 (stock). But I've seen a supercharger for the 3.0 guys. IMO a supercharged 3.0 would decimate a 1.8T.

should be very close with a chip... The 1.8T I think would be slightly faster with a chip and an exhaust.

The 3.0 will have an advantage in gears. The 1.8T will run out of gear fast and require shifts earlier.
Also, with just a chip, the 1.8T runs out of steam in the high rpms, where the 3.0 will pull all the way to redline.
Again, there are a lot of variables so without a race, it's all supposition.
