Are there any chipped A4's here that gets service from Rusnak Pasadena? How do they treat you knowing that your car is chipped? I was just wondering if they give you a hard time. I am thinking about chipping my car and I am not sure if Rusnak Pasadena is "mod-friendly" when it comes to service.
Thanks in advance.

Generally, "friendly" dealer referrals are word of mouth so as not to cause problems.
I've heard positive and negative experiences about almost all local dealers. I'd say try them once to give them a chance and then make your own decision.
Rusnak did my 10k service and everything was perfect.
Not so during my recent CEL/MIL experience. An issue that should have been resolved in 5 minutes took most of the day before I gave up waiting and took the car back. Issue resolved quickly elsewhere.
If they're closest to you try them once, and tell them you are looking for continued business with them.
As for "chip friendly" I've received recommendations for several dealers but I think it is also about who you know. The suggestion is always to talk to them before you have an issue. Maybe ask them about chipping when you take the car for scheduled service.

and share e-mail privately. Dealers are not supposed to tolerate or support chips. Evidence is collected by AoA, and they audit dealers who have higher than normal warranty claims - coming down hard on the dealers to the point where the dealer can no longer afford to be chip friendly. By posting here, you may force a dealer to become anti-chip friendly.

Only affected parts can be voided and the burden of proof lies on the dealer/manufacturer to prove that the aftermarket modification is the cause of it.
It is just not so "cut and dry" as you think. Dealers who are "mod unfriendly" basically just want to avoid dealing with it, so they essentially harass the customer, filling them with fear that their warranty will be torn up before their eyes and no one will help. We're not that defenseless. But they sure want you to feel that way.

SEMA.org

told me I could get my car chipped from them. Guess for how much? $1,000. The guy said it wouldn't be warrantied though if something happened. Damn crooks! Why doesn't Audi just give us more power. How much extra is for them to add more boost? I'm sure only a few hundred dollars. A 200hp factory A4 turbo isn't asking for too much. It would be the perfect car in my opinion. If my A4 didn't suck with the GIAC chip in it I would keep it forever. Too me the 208 hp it gives me is enough. I wouldn't have to worry about voiding my warranty. Wouldn't life be great!
