Default I'd get the VW. Great new powertrain, interior is nicely done. You know it hasn't been abused.

If it's a loaner, imagine if one of the guys here had it. ;-)

Plus, the A4 is a tip, vs. the DSG of the Jetta, no contest in my mind. Buy the Jetta.

Default Audi. My girlfriend bought a 2005 BMW "program"...

X5 fully loaded and she couldn't be happier. Honestly how much abuse can they do to a car in 8k? I mean unless they were intentionally driving the car into the ground. Keep in mind you have a fat part of the warranty left. Ask if they will offer an extended warranty beyond the factory. Never hurts to ask...

Do you have a preference, FWD vs AWD? I'd take the A4 for Quattro, but that's my RWD/AWD bias.

Default what if they push the car hard without ever letting it warm-up...

also they will be the ones driving it through the engine break in period... and i'd promise they aren't waiting for it to be broken in before pushing it often

Default Re: if the a4 is a 3.0/3.2 then get the A4

I don't mean to pick a fight here, but it's a VW lot. What makes you think an Audi A4 is a loaner on a VW lot? It seems more likely it was a trade in on a VW. Yes, it happens...

I agree on the 3.0/3.2 idea though.

Default Actually you make a very good point...when buying my car last year

I asked about breaking in the engine, etc. He said "these cars don't need a break in period" I didn't listen to him. I took it easy on her...can't say the same for my GF. sorry couln't help myself.

Default "Audi Program" car

to me would mean that it was a demo car or loaner or some sorts. Not a trade in.

Default Yes, it's possible, but unlikely...

So, my questions still stands...where's the assumption it's an Audi loaner on a VW lot coming from?
