Chrome/Aluminum window trim

I'm currently looking into ordering a 2003 A4 1.8, but there's one small detail I can't seem to get past. I would like to get either black or ming, but I don't like these colors as much without the chrome window trim. I feel that in these darker colors the window trim creates a nice contrast which gives the car a more polished(no pun intended) look. The 3.0 is out of my price range, so that's not an option. I know from previous posts that many of you aren't chrome lovers, but I would appreciate any objective comments/opinions you may have.

Its the subtle finishing touch on a dark car. Not 'bling bling' like chrome wheels.
And, you're in good company...cause its also on the RS6 for example.

I have a brilliant black, and I thought the same way as you. The reason I waited four months to get a special order car, was two little touches that dealers didn't get bother with (with their routine orders). One was the brushed aluminium sills, and the other was additional inetrior lights. These make my car more special to me where it counts.

Sorry when taking the pic, the emphasis was not on the window sills. As I said, this option goes nice with black. Audi already has put some non-glossy metal under the boot lip, and in the exhaust tips. We find glossy metal surrounding grills in front, and in badges and headlights. These all stand out with a dark paintwork. Buying black paintwork, I thought I would get the best out of these plus little enhancemnts that I could do such as getting aluminium sills, and rims that came with stainless steel lips. My number plate look was also part of the plan.
