Default Climate control Question

Not sure if the climate control is working completely correctly. When I got in the car this morning (+18 degrees outside) the climate control started blasting cold air right away. I always thought that it waited until the car warmed up until it started with it's routine. Once it got to temp it calmed down. Strange?

nah, just trying to get warm. That is why I thought it would wait, instead of blowing cold air.

Default Did you hit the button (bottom of system) to defrost/defog the windshield? .... (more)

... if you did, the climate control system does not wait for the car to warm up. It just blasts with all it has regardless of temp.

I tried it both ways, and it did blast when on defrost, but also on Auto!

the "ECON" button always annoy me, why don't it go too "off" by default.

Default It will not go to off by default

It is a fully automatic climate control system. As such it needs to have available at its disposal both heat and AC, which is why the AC is ON by default. Econ ensures that the compressor does not engage, meaning the AC is OFF. But if it defaulted to OFF, that would mean it wasn't fully automatic.
