Default Clutch vacuum vent valve switch aka clutch pedal switch

Pulled a code saying the clutch vacuum vent valve switch was not working correctly. How do I gain access to this? Is it hard to fix? Anything I can do with the vag-com to monitor if its installed correctly? Dont want to pay the dealer $250 to install a $40 part. Thanks in advance for your help.

Default Its located on the clutch pedal, up above your ankles in the dash...

You have to pull the lower dash cover(several screws) to gain access to it...

Got the Bentley manual?

Dont have the Bentley manual. I did order a vagcom usb cable to read the codes on my A4. Already downloaded the vagcom software from Ross Techs website. I tried pulling the knee well down, but it wouldnt budge (even after pulling out the 3 screws that held it in place).

Fixed the clutch vacuum vent valve switch today. It was relatively easy. Pulled out the knee well. Switch was right there. Pulled the old one out, put the new one in, and put the knee well back in place. Cruise control works now and clutch feels a lot better than it did before (not as rough). Now I have to figure out why I'm leaking oil/ps fluid/or tranny fluid. Leak is dripping down bushing on passenger underside. Will look into it further next weekend. Also leaking washer fluid.

Replaced spark plugs with NGK PFR6U-11G's gapped at .044. Noticed oil in one of the cylinders. Kept old plug in there. Will replace valve cover gasket in the next few weeks. Anybody know how tough a job this is or where I can find DIY instructions.

Replaced oil with Mobil 1 0W-40 fully synthetic and oil filter. Replaced air and cabin filter. Quite the weekend.

TIA for help on any problems.
