I replaced all 4 coil packs today, but my engine check light is now on, not flashing as before, the engine starts smooth and has a smooth idle. Is there anyway to reset the computer without taking it to the dealer to turn off the engine check light?? I'm 99.9% sure that there is nothing else wrong with the car. Thanks for the help.

if the car runs for a while without a misfire, the CEL will go off. the code will stay stored.

takes couple of days. IIRC, it will go off after about 50-80miles.

I have a different problem now:

17544 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Add): System too Lean
P1136 - 001 - Upper Limit Exceeded

I never saw my CP problem fault code. Only this one.

When I clear the 17544 code, it keeps coming back.

I hope I didn't damage anything when I replaced the CP.

after putting in buggy code by APR.. Are you chipped?

Also, your MAF may have died. Had that happen too.

I found out that it's my vacuum hose has a hole. VAG-COM is useful after all!
