Default coil pack or something else?

Was driving along tonight and car started dying at every stop light. Did that for about 4 times and then it started riding really rough at low rpms and the check engine light came on. It was pretty much like that until I got home (luckily only a mile from where I was). Audi dealer is about 50-60 miles away should I get it towed there - I'm still in warranty until next Feb. Or if it's just coil packs should I just buy them at the local VW dealer?

Thanks!

Default all 4 coil backs going bad at once?

I saw the same error code when my coil pack when out (only 1 of the 4).

You shouldn't be driving around if the coil packs are gone - even if it is 1 mile. Why not pull over immediately?? Specially if you are going to back to the dealer and still within warranty.

4 new Coil packs and you should be all set - but that will set you back around $100 if you get it yourself - just use warranty while you got it.

Default I thought that was weird too. Never heard about anyone having all four go out at once

You're right that I should've pulled over immediately, but the CEL and rough idling didn't start until I was only about 1/4 mile from home(it was just the dying at stoplights before that). I figured if it was just a coil pack it was probably safe to drive that far. I'll have it towed to the dealer tomorrow. Hopefully it is just the coil packs.

Default

tis the season for failures (they seem to fail given greater ambient temp differentials)
