Default Coilpack precautionary note ...

If you own a 2002 A4 or a 2003 A4 delivered during the summer of 2002 and haven't had your coilpacks changed out, you may want to address the issue now.

Most of the failures occur during cold weather. Of the charts I kept while were monitoring this problem (and trying to encourage Audi to do a recall), this one paints a fair picture of weather vs. occurence.

Interesting timing. My '02 3.0 QM just this AM after first the first cool night (45) started and ran VERY rough with a flashing check engine light! Off to the dealer on MOnday, assuming I can get there. It runs like its on 4 or 5 cylinders and smells really funny...

Have them tow it, is all covered by Audi, they can even pick you up and drive you to the dealer free
