Hi guys,
As part of my fuel level warning light on our newish Avant, I came across the below post.
Have any of you guys ever used a complete fuel system cleaner, and if so what would you recommend ?
How does it work, is it just thrown into the tank of gas before filling it ?

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/916416.phtml</a

of a difference. Before it was done most of the miles were highway and I use only Shell 93 + Techron fuel cleaner every oil change. Thus I don't think my fuel system was very gummed up to begin with. At around 60k my fuel sender went bad and had the pump/sender/filter replaced under CPO warranty.

well at least they used to. there was a difference between the autozone and chevron techron's.
but if you use chevron gas all the time you shouldn't ever need techron.

I got the Techron fuel cleaner last night from pepboys and put it into the car, I'll see if that helps.
From now on only good fuel is going into the car.

Did you do a before and after, pulling the intake and checking deposits over similar miles?
I did, and "techron" doesn't do much either...
My valves were really caked up - never had that on a car before, and I was quite surprised.
I got redline cleaner stuff, but don't know how good that is either until I pop the intake off again (will be about the 5th time due to issues with APR injectors and newsouth heatshield failures)
