I'm thinking about getting an RCA Lyra (link included). It comes with audio/video in and out. It comes with A/V cables (the simple red/white/yellow) to be hooked up to a receiver.
Does the stock A4 receiver have a/v outputs? If not, how could I connect this?<ul><li><a href="http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/Cultures/en-US/ModelDetail.html?PCI=Lyra+Hard+Drive+Players&P roductID=RD2780&PrevPage=ModelList">RCA Lyra</a></li></ul>

obviously it doesn't take video as the stock headunit is not playing videos anyway.
I've had the Blitzsafe adapter for over 3 years now and it's been great. Since then I added a Denison Auto Kit, because I'm using an iPod with mine, but it should work great for you.

will there be a noticable difference? as in, will it sound like a cassette tape vs the blitzsafe thing sounding more like cd quality?

as a 2nd 6 disc cd changer was. In fact that's exactly how it works. Our cars were made to handle the 6 disc in dash and a 6 disc glove box cd changer. The Blitzsafe adapter becomes your "2nd cd changer". The sound quality is great compared to a cassette tape.
I went from using an FM Transmitter to a Cassette Tape Adapter to the "real thing" ... each step up made a difference.

Now Blitzsafe makes an iPod adapter with a dock connection and it sells in the $90s, so it's possbile the Blitzsafe RCA Adapter isn't so expensive anymore...
