Contemplating short shifter (Question for those that have one installed already)

And I have the Stratmosphere Hypershift. I like it mainly because you can choose the reduction (I'm not sure if other companies offer a choice) you want it at (I have mine at the lesser one, so its between the OEM setting and the super short throw). Aside from my gears not lining up quite like OEM, its a great improvement to the overall drivability. FWIW, I picked it up used; had it been full price I'm not sure I would have done it as I was complacent with the stock shift settings.

In terms of smoother, might not be so, but it is a lot more solid. The shorter throw really improves the driving experience. I've driven other A4's with the stock shifter since, and I'd never go back. The OEM is way too mushy.
In my opinion, well worth the price. If you're unsure, poke around on AZ in the classifieds. Should be able to find one for $150 or less.

Some sort of disease that compels him to try every available mod for his car. Witness three clutches, god knows how many TIPs, two big brake kits, and now short shifters too apparently.
