Default coolant
I have a coolant light on my warning dash. The owners manual says only to use Audi's super-duper coolant (G12+ or something similar), saying I could use another coolant, but that it would make the engine susceptible to corrosion.

Has anyone out there used another coolant? Any problems?

I have a service appt tomorrow, but the drive is 20 miles and I am concerned.

If you are only going 20 miles just top off with distilled water.

My confidential service manual ok's urine as long as it is from a German Lager.
