My cooling fan just recently decided to get really annoying. Has anyone else seen this problem?

When I first turn the car on, the fan starts up immediately. It sounds like a freaking leaf blower. It's really loud, and it didn't do this before. In less than a minute, it turns itself off. It then turns on and off as I drive, especially when I am going slowly.

Now this seems like what I would expect from a cooling fan, but I'm bothered that I never noticed this loud annoying blower sound before. I searched, and the fan controller failures I see reported here usually involve the thing not turning off at all. Mine turns off, but it changed its behavior. Has anyone else seen this problem? Could it be that one of my fans just got louder? Thoughts?

Check hose to secondary air pump. Might be loose or disconnected.

I don't have the Bentley manual, and I wouldn't know where to look for an "air pump" in that engine compartment.

All I know about that could cause that sort of noise are the two large cooling fans. Could you point me to the air pump(s?) so I can look for a loose hose?

Sorry. I took it in to dealership, and that's what they fixed.
