Ha! some of it was not fun, though. No starts at assembly plants don't make friends.

Default Second post in the B6 A4 Technical Discussion section, April 18, 2002...

I posted "Rampant errors and omissions in manual" and it hasn't gotten better since. Bentley only publishes what Audi allows them to have. There's an incredible amount of information that's kept secret or highly restricted. This is Audi's doing.

Default Yeah, that's an important difference. I am really unhappy with the whole issue.

Right now, there is no comprehensive, detailed and up to date service data available to us here in the US. The situation is absurd and inexcusable. I get pissed every time I think about it. We just don't have any choices or options available.

Default no, and the fact that i had to hound bentley to get anything done is horrible

i find the whole licensing structure that they have to be far too strict. the fact that they limit transfers is horrible. what if i want to reinstall windows every 2 weeks? i don't do that, but i have been known, when breaking in a new hardware configuration, to reinstall a lot after overclocking and finding the hardware limits.

why can't they simply allow as many transfers as you want? the license number is still tied to the configuration...

After 4 years I don't think they're listening.

Default People who bought the Bentley, on the whole, don't complain enough .

I Audi and Bentley had thousands of complaints on this, and new ones every day, then they would have to respond and address the issue. I would be satisfied if the cost of the required hardware and software for the GFF, and the GeKo online immobilizer adaption, was made available at an affordable price. The cost now, is so high it is rigged to minimize public use of those service tools. The damn VAS 5052 does really need a deposit of $6,000, for the lease security. And the cost to lease does not have to be $200 per week. That pricing is set specifically to limit access.
