Default Correct torque for lug bolts

My manual says to torque the lug bolts to 90'#. I just got my Bentley CD-ROM, and it says to torque the lug bolts to 120'#. Is this a misprint, or is it an Ancient Chinese Secret that only the service technicians are allowed to know?

Actually, the Bentley CD gives it as 120 Nm - NOT ft-lbs!

Default You're right! Errm, what's Nm? (see inside)

I got torque conversion!
120 Meter-Newtons = 88.430361 Foot-Pounds

This is great site for conversions:
http://www.onlineconversion.com

They do every kind of measurement you could want; torque is just one of them.

Correct, if you have a torque wrench. I just hand-tighten. Torque stick looks good.

Default 120 Nm = about 0.7 lug-wife?

Since the stock tire-iron is about a foot long, I thought I could just get my wife to stand on the handle, about 3/4 of the way out from the bolt.

That should be about 90ft-lbs right? (Your wife's mileage may vary).
