Could this be our last Audis? Bad news from Audi on future models...

Free maintenance has definitely been a luxury. Isn't buying an Audi a luxury?
Free maintenance is more than just a couple of bills, but a peace of mind. I can just drop off my car and have it DONE..and if they dont do a good job, bring it back and they'll fix it. This results in quality service that I can rely on because a bad job means money lost on the dealer's end, not mine.
Let's face it..dealerships, just like any other auto shop out there, can be shady if money becomes an incentive. Not only will they charge for maintenance, but they'll tell you all these other things need to be replaced that really dont need to be or are still good for a couple thousand more miles. This is what happened with our MB when it went out of warranty, which is why my family now despise MB service and think their cars are crap.
I have taken pride in not having to forked out a penny on my 2002 A4, nor having to waste time changing my oil. This money and time has rather been spent on aftermarket parts and in suspension shops. If they take the free mainenance away, more of my time and energy on my car will be spent on maintenance. I'd rather own a Japanese car and pay cheap for reliable parts and labor than have to deal with shady German car dealerships again.
If they can guarantee quality maintenance service at a reasonable price, then that's fine. But I find that highly unlikely once an auto manufacturer starts focusing on monetary profit over customer satisfaction. Look what happened to MB over the past years.

If Audi's were reliable I wouldn't care
with my 3 coilpack failures, busted sunroof, dead Xenon, leaking coolant, blown steering fluid, leaking oil, and peeling switches.
No more Audi's for me.
I still love the car by the way. I just need a little insurance for all the hassles and things failing apart and breaking.
