Default Could this be a sign of a bad wiper arm?

So I recently ordered some new blades from Clair Parts. My old right side blade would miss a small middle section of swiping near the center of the windshield. I thought, well, old blades, been on there for a while, time for a change.

Put on the new blades and it does the same thing! However, the old blades would completely miss the small mid section but the new ones would swipe away what was missed on initial swipe when it returned down.

I e-mailed Clair Parts and he suggested that it might be the wiper arm losing tension to hold down the blade with enough force...what are the thoughts on this? If it is true, easy to replace the bad wiper arm?

I'm thinking of trying to swap the right and left side to see if the same issue occurs. If it does, then it might be a bad wiper arm. But if the right side becomes fine and the left side has the same missing mid section when swiping, then probably a bad blade.

Default haha, its all good. I'm hoping its just a bad blade, going to swap them out tonight

and try to see if the same thing happens. If not, going to try and see how much the arm costs *eek*

Default I emailed Clair about aero arms (want to upgrade from my POS standard wipers) and they said arms

were $25 a piece. Email to make sure, but let me know if this isn't right-sounds cheap to me!

Default Clair is pretty good with parts cost, lower than most places. A few things

definitely cheaper than other places (online and other dealers), such as coilpacks and blades. I will let you know if I have to order a new arm.

I have the same issue with the standard arms ('03), but have not had time to look into it...

Default How did you replace the wiper blades of the aero? I have a new set sitting for a few months alrdy.

Don't know how to remove the old rubber ones, unless you have to replace the whole blade set? The dealer sold me the rubber portion only.
