Default crack in upholstery

I have an 03 Avant with 21k on the clock. Noticed a couple of 1/2 in or so cracks on the left bolster of the driver seat. Went to my friendly Audi dealer who immediately began a song and dance how this may not be covered. Has anyone out there had a similar problem and how was it resolved? I foolishly expect more than a two year lifetime on my driver seat.

Default I have an 02 and spend about 2h in it every weekday with no cracks on the leather

I have kept the car away from sun light as much as possible and used Meguiars Leather Cleaner and Conditioner Treatment.

As for having a similar problem, a few members has had their leather re-done after some good fighting with the dealers. Most dealers will say it's wear and tear and not covered by warranty

Default Are your seats leatherette or leather? I had a 2 inch crack in the left hip

bolster of my driver's seat and the dealership replaced the seat cover under warranty. This has been a somewhat common occurance among people with leatherette seat covers. Don't take any sh** from the dealership. Those covers should last more that 21K. Do a search on the forum for others who have had the same issue and cite these instances to your service rep.

Good luck.

Default Are your setas 100% leatherette or...

the all leather "seating surface only" seats like my A4. What a joke this is. An MSRP of $41,500 and I have plastic bolsters, headrests, and center armrest. Very impressive Audi (much like the hard plastic interior pieces). I thought only GM, Ford, and Acura/Honda pulled that sh*t. I guess not.

Please keep us informed of your plight and best of luck w/ the dealer.
