Creaking coming from lower driver's side on windshield.

Creaking coming from lower driver's side on windshield.
This is weird, but in the morning when I have started to drive and go over slight bumps, I hear a creaking or some sort of popping sound coming from the windshield. It sounds as is the winshield just wants to crack. Its coming from the lower side of the drivers side--right behind the steering wheel. Anyone else experience this? WTF could this be? Really weird

you're not crazy, i heard the same cracking...
it usually happened when it was REALLY cold outside and I would drive over some sort of bump (ie speedbump) i would hear a crack coming from something or other. All of the sudden it just stopped and I haven't heard it since the weather has warmed up. I checked all windows and everything, not a single crack or even signs of something about to crack. Very strange indeed
