Default Cruise Control Bentley Vacuum Line Schematic

My cruise control has been an off and on working thing since I bought it used a year ago. Sometimes it will work and other times no. It has also been know to just turn on by itself rarely from time to time. Reading searched posts it's computer activated and there are vacuum lines associated with it's function. Any Bentley info out there on what is associated with the cruise control?

Default Research shows that using cruise control can sometimes lead to dangerous situations and possibly...

accidents.

Your car is trying to protect you ;-)

Default First try to clean the switch. I'd then assume your CC computer is having issues.

It's rarely a vacuum issue with these cars.

Mine was doing the same exact thing and it turned out to be the CC computer.

that it ties into the engine computer any other ideas? I guess I can try cleaning the switch/stalk.

Default faulty brake light or something will trip it out - vag the car

there's probably switches on the clutch and brake pedal (or using the brake circuitry) that intervene and stop cruise.

but the stalk should still light up if the cruise module is okay.

i remember my old b5 would lose cruise control every time the ecu was taken out lol. that sucked to have to recode it. and the auto-windows.
