So what will this really mean? VW is taking the econo to lux market and Audi will be hitting the sports sedan/car market....so... what does that mean? Audi vs. BMW and VW vs everyone else?
When will we see the fruits of this re-org? Are the new Audis going to be sportier? When?! How?!

VW will actually fall under the "traditional" line along with Bently and Skoda I believe, Audi will fall under what I think they are calling "advanced" or "technical" along with Lamborghini. My understanding is that audi will still make lux cars like the Avantismo, well maybe lux cars that are a little over the top. But they have also put out the word to dealers at last months dealer meeting in Denver that they are setting there sights on BMW. Just look at the rumored next generation S4, 340 HP 4.2 V8, yahoo!
This can only be good news. It has also been said that VW AG wants to widen the gap between Audi and VW lines.
