Curious....anyone finding that their windshield scratches easily and that it is distorted in the
corners...i experienced this with my 2002 1.8T and now with my 5 week old 2003 3.0...i think there was some talk about the windshields on the new A4s being soft(hence the scratches) and thin(hence the distortion)....any thoughts on this ?

Yes! My wife's '02 A4 has this strange distortion in it, which drives me NUTS! She doesn't notice it so I just let it go.

My windshield is garbage. I'm on my second one now. My frist one had three large chips in it, big enough that they couldn't be fixed. So I was putting off getting it fixed when one day a rock flew up and hit *one of the chips*. My luck. The entire windshield had a crack from the bottom left to the top left. So I got it replaced in July. OEM glass. Again my windshield looks like hell. Three large cracks already!! WTF?? Might be time for ANOTHER new one in the spring if it doesn't shatter by then.
