Default i drool when i think about putting the ecode test pipe on my car..

I already have thermal exhaust and the test pipe would make it that much better Ive heard that it makes your exhaust more throaty and louder, and you get some good gains espcecially in conjunction with an exhaust...but ive also heard that it causes a cel.

Default Do a search on VWVortex....

There was a post about spacing the rear O2 sensor using HELP! spark plug arrestors (available at most auto parts stores).
It keeps the rear O2 out of direct exhaust flow which reduces the chances of a CEL.

It'll still go off in our cars. A good thing actually. You know you are getting correct readings.

Default Ya, I know...

It is just used for monitoring cat efficiency sp? and will throw a dtc if the voltage is too hi or low or stuck at the same value. I dont think there are any O2 simulators for our cars like the B5 guys and BMW guys are running.
He could always let the light come on and install a good a/f sensor/gauge, and a egt sensor

Default We also have a wideband on the B6 to measure a/f and egt...

The only limitation appears to be the speed of the data software from vagcom but that may be rectified with the new CAN software, i just havent tried it. It seems to work fine though if you measure one block at a time. cheers! Mike

Default Maybe try the Helix fix?...

I know for the WRX they use the helix, all it is, is a small resistor that goes inline. Since they are obd 2 as well as are car it should function the same because obd 2 serves the same base function no matter what car. I run a 3 inch down pipe custom made for the same price as the ecode and as soon as I installed revo it went away. So there is something to bypass the light. The resistor is a cheap way to take a shot with nothing to lose cause it just goes inline! give it a shot!
