The dealer replaced my flywheel along with the clutch (under warranty) and said that it was normal to replace them both at the same time.
I didn't realize the flywheel was a wear item -- could someone explain to me why this is the case?
Just curious,
Josh

Where is the clutch engagement point on your cars?
Originally, mine was pretty high up. Since the new clutch/flywheel installation, it's a good inch closer to the floor.
Don't get me wrong, I love it now (much better than before, IMO), but it's a little shocking when it engages so much sooner than I'm used to.
I'd say it's maybe 2 inches from the floor now before I feel it engage, as opposed to 3 inches for the old clutch.
