I'm replacing Concert unit with an Alpine touch screen and was wondering if anyone can tell me if this dash kit would suffice, does it have the correct dimensions? Also, how difficult would it be for a shop to custom fabricate one themselves?

the concert II is a double din radio, so the kit you want will have 2 slots. autotoys.com has one (or they used to at least...thats where i bought mine). otherwise, a shop could fabricate one, but i believe that it costs some money

I have an '04 FWD non-bose single din unit, but based on my research it appears I'll need a dash kit.

yeah if you have the single din, you'll need a dash kit and i believe that the one you found is correct

Here is a head unit installed in a TT:

The pieces that have filled that gap can be had at Audi dealerships from what I've read. However, this setup will only work if my stock Concert unit is the same dimensions as that in the TT. Can anyone provide insight to that?
