dead battery and now alarm sounds when running
battery went dead in my 2004 A4 1.8t 6mt usp. put the charger to the battery and started the car. the car alarm was sounding and the lights were flashing. shut the car off and the lights and alarm continued. i removed the neg. from the battery and there it sits. i tried to use the panic button on the key to shut it off but no dice. Any suggestions???

Well, it could be the gorilla in your Audi. But if that's not it, try this...

It happened to me too.
Your key lost it's programming.
But you can't reprogram it with the alarm going off.
Easiest fix in the world:
put the key in the drivers door closed... lock door, unlock door... then follow the key fob reset procedure linked in the other post.
