This dealer must have some ***** to void your warranty, and then put in a stock chip on top of that!

so they replaced the gas pedal. Then, they plugged in their VAG tool to make sure the DBW was aligned correctly (or whatever) and it spit all sorts of DTCs at them, including "Max Revs Exceeded" and "Boost Pressure Too High" etc. So they spend $500 in diagnostic time trying to figure out what the hell is going on and they come across the chip.
Okay, so maybe he cleared his codes, but they still could have seen red flags related to the gas pedal service and done a little digging.
The last thing I want is for Audi to be right on this issue.... but they are.

VAG DTC was for an implausible signal to the Accelerator sensor. The Service manager said that he would "see" what he could do, since the original intent was to change the pedal sensor. I am so fed up with NEW COUNTRY OF AUDI DEALERSHIP. In case some of you are wondering if they have already charged me for the new ECU, they haven't but have given me two options: Replace ECU or do nothing and charge 550$ for labor.

You can't contractually limit implied warranties of merchantibility or fitness. You can only limit their duration to the length of the express limited warranty.
