Default dealer replaced front rotors because of high speed braking issue...question

My car has 36k on it now. What would cause rotors to "go out of round" so quick? I figured the front pads would go before my rotors. Front pads are still original. But I'm assuming this fixed the shaking from braking at high speeds.

Default Well consider yourself lucky....

some dealers would say we can't test for "high speed " braking issues. I'm on my third set of rotors at 58k miles. The first times they were warped, not sure why.

Default i see. advisor said tech took it up to 80 for testing. as long as its fixed, thats all i'm concerned

about. just wondering why they would warp or go out of round so quick.

Default

They could have warped if you washed the car right after a long drive.

Default i try to let the brakes cool off for a bit before hitting them with water. i was thinking that was

a possibility. at least they're covered under warranty

Default Yeah cold water + buring hot rotors is bad....

but the car is made to drive in the rain ... plus I don't wash my car after driving

Well maybe that's it actually. It's really hot in Florida and it rains a lot.. so maybe that is it ?
