from reading the manual and the big sticker on the fuel door, they say 91 min. Was he being serious? Also, just wondering if they add anything to the first tank of gas to break in a car.

Default no need to add anything to the tank. Your car would run on 87.

I would get the best gas you can easily afford. With 87 octane, the car will reduce timing to prevent knocking, which means less power, worse gas millage. I'd get 91 or better, but like I said it will run off 87.

Default he's correct... engine will naturally retard itself with lower octane gas...

But if you do a cost analysis.. 20k miles/year, with a $.20 difference is cost per gallon, 20 mi/gal, you are only saving a $100/yr... is that really worth it to you?

Just pay the extra $100 in gas money and enjoy the ride.

Default i used 87/89 when i first got my car, but it didn't run that well and mileage wasn't as good. (m)

with the lower octane gas i noticed shifting was not as smooth either. i just run 93 now, and try not to benefit from its performance.

Default With normal driving, you probably won't see much mileage difference.

I switched between 87 and 91 and never saw more than 1 mpg difference between the two.

Default 91 RON MINIMUM is plastered on the gas tank. What was the question again?

Euro cars run on super, deal with it.
