I'd bet litigation costs have a lot more to do with it. If you want lower insurance costs, talk to malpractice lawyers who look for reasons to sue doctors. (Not to discount the importance of the right to sue--just pointing out that there are far too many situations where patients sue doctors for ridiculous reasons, hence driving up the cost of our healthcare).
I have no problem with my doctor making that much money. I sure as hell don't want to do work my *** off in school for that long.
Also, I agree with what you said - dealerships are businesses. They need to draw the line.

but its a give and take..you have to have been doing stuff for them along the way (ie baseball lux box tix etc to say thanks for all the other favors along the way)or just have someone that will work with you i guess... people dont do something for nothin'.... i think you are SOL...sorry dude. find another dealership or just bite the bullet. i think thats a sorry excuse to not want an audi though...kinda your own fault for not paying attention to your cars health.
