Default Dealership replaces brake pads w/o cutting rotors??

Car went in for the 45k service and a bad ignition coil in cyl 4 (prev thread) and they replace the front brake pads also...w/o cutting the rotors may I add, clearly they need to be cut, it wasnt metal to metal however there are grooves from the width of the pad itself. Thank god I have a brake lathe in my garage...

Default My mechanic told me not to turn rotors on german cars

He told me that they need to be replaced with the rotors. (and I wasn't in there for a brake job, so he wasn't trying to rob me)

On a side note, I'm surprised they needed to be changed at 45K, I'm at 70K and still have about 20 mil left on mine.

I would have the dealership turn them or put new rotors on. If they're bad they should be covered?

Default 80K+ miles - still on the original ones for me...

you should replace the rotors completely.
